Goodnight Earth is a children's book.
History[edit]
Four years earlier, Homer was reading Lisa Are You My Mother? Lisa became scared of the book's story and asked to read something else instead. Homer suggested Hansel & Gretel, which Lisa also decided against. She then realized that all of her children's books, including Goodnight Earth, were scary.

Goodnight Earth is a parody of Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown.
