Farmer McGregor is a character in the Peter Rabbit series.

History

Principal Skinner made Hub audition for a role in the Peter Rabbit musical that Springfield Elementary School was putting on. Hub got the role of Farmer McGregor, who only had three scenes. When Skinner was watching the rehearsals, he got annoyed at the lack of lines for Hub and demanded that his talents be put to better use. Mr. Largo quit the play due to this and Skinner took over, having Lisa rewrite it. The play was changed to McGregor: Gardener of Destiny, with Hub having the starring role.

When the play was due to start, Hub got stage fright and ran away. When his father and mother confronted him about running away from his boarding school, Hub agreed to leave with them. However, he decided to give his performance in the play, where he improvised a speech thanking Skinner for looking after him and believing in him.
