The Emergency Baptism Kit is a collection of religious supplies for use in urgent baptisms. Among its contents were a Bible, a life preserver, a golden chalice, and an air horn.
History[edit]
After discovering that Bart, Lisa, and Maggie Simpson had never been baptized, Ned Flanders became alarmed and attempted to contact Reverend Lovejoy for assistance. When the minister declined to help, Ned decided to perform the ceremony himself and opened the Emergency Baptism Kit. He then took Bart, Lisa, and Maggie to the Springfield River, where, dressed in ceremonial robes, he prepared to baptize the children and announced that the occasion would mark a new page in the Flanders Bible. Before the ceremony could be completed, Homer and Marge Simpson arrived and interrupted the baptism.
