Dirk Simpson is the son of Homer and Helen Simpson. He appears in a story imagined by Marge when she thought about what life would be like if Homer were like the man from the 1950s film The Company Man.

History

When Homer finished work and got back to his car, which Helen was driving, Dirk and Birk were in the back seat. During dinner that evening, Homer talked with his family about a potential promotion, which would come with access to the executive washroom. Dirk asked how big the urinal trough in the executive washroom was.

Due to the similarities in appearance and name with Kirk Van Houten and the fact that Helen was cheating on Homer with Kirk, it is highly likely that Dirk and Birk are biologically Kirk's children.
