Pig de Resistance was a whole-roasted pig served as the centerpiece of Homer Simpson's backyard barbecue.

History

After Ned Flanders hosted a family barbecue that excluded Homer Simpson, Homer organized a barbecue of his own, with the roasted pig as its principal dish. During the event, Lisa Simpson carried the pig away in protest against eating meat, sending it rolling into a river and eventually soaring through the air after being launched from a dam spillway.
