Playdate with Destiny is an animated short film starring Maggie Simpson. The short will air from March 6, 2020 onwards before showings before the Pixar film Onward.

Production

After Tom Gammill and Max Pross wrote "The Incredible Lightness of Being a Baby", James L. Brooks they could turn the part of the story about Maggie's relationship with Hudson into a theatrical short. Whilst the short was being worked on, "The Incredible Lightness of Being a Baby" was delayed. The short was worked on by Gammill, Pross, David Silverman, Matt Groening, Michael Price and animator Matt Sullivan.
