Catfish Lake is a small town in Springfield's state. The area around the lake is very rural. The Lovejoys own a house by the lake that is seldom used, except for an annual Church marriage retreat that goes for one week. Catfish lake is, however, popular with fishermen hoping to catch a legendary catfish called General Sherman that suffers from gigantism.
