West Point is a census-designated place in New York.
History[edit]
During an interrogation by mobsters connected to Fat Tony, Homer Simpson desperately attempted to hide his identity by giving a series of false names, including Benedict Arnold. One of the gangsters immediately recognized the name and angrily asked whether he was the same Benedict Arnold who plotted to surrender West Point to the hated British, instantly ruining Homer's cover story.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
Benedict Arnold was an American Revolutionary War general who became infamous after secretly plotting to surrender West Point to the British in 1780. After the conspiracy was discovered, Arnold fled and joined the British, becoming one of the most famous traitors in American history.
