Cultural references
- The waterfall Crypto.com Falls is a reference to Crypto.com, a real life website.
- The breakfast burrito T.G.I. Fried Egg is a reference to the restaurant chain TGI Fridays.
- Homer sings the "Meow Mix jingle".
- Duffman mentions the "Where's the beef?" slogan of the restaurant chain Wendy's.
Enthusiasm on Demand headquarters are based on those of Lumon Industries from Severance. The painting of characters raising their hands to a coffee machine is based on The Exalted Victory of Cold Harbor, part of the symbolism in the series.
- The episode title and plot are a parody of the TV Series Severance. Many references to Severance are seen throughout the episode:

- Homer takes the role of protagonist Mark Scout (Adam Scott) while Marge has the look of Helly R. (Britt Lower), Mark's romantic partner.
- Farley Lewis is based on Dylan George, and is voiced by Zach Cherry, who portrays Dylan G. in the real series.
- Consonance, voiced by guest star Julianne Moore, parodies one of Severance's main antagonists, Harmony Cobel (Patricia Arquette). Duffman takes the role of Seth Milchick (Tramell Tillman).
- The Visionary, founder of Enthusiasm on Demand, is a parody of Kier Eagan, founder of Lumon Industries.
- Enthusiasm on Demand is based on Lumon Industries. Its headquarters are based on that of the series and symbolism from Severance can be seen on many occasions:
- The face sculpture of The Visionary, parody of the same sculpture of Kier Eagan, can be seen when Homer first enters the building.
- The paintings seen are parodies of Lumon's strategy of emotional control through art. The Visionary with the "Productivity" and "Efficiency" commandments is based on Kier Taming the Four Tempers, the piece with characters raising their hands to a coffee machine is based on The Exalted Victory of Cold Harbor, and the chaotic fight is based on Macrodata Refinement Calamity.
- The typical elevator sequence, running-through-corridor scenes, and the Macrodata Refinement department cubicles are seen.
- Consonance mentions Project Dark Contrivance, which is a parody of the Cold Harbor file from the real series.
- The room with a kangaroo holding a baby human in its pouch parodies the Goat Room of the Mammalians Nurturable department.
