"Treehouse of Horror XXV" is the fourth episode of broadcast season 26 of The Simpsons and the five hundred fifty-sixth episode overall. It is also the twenty-fifth installment in the Treehouse of Horror series and consists of three parts. It originally aired on October 19, 2014. The episode was written by Stephanie Gillis and directed by Matthew Faughnan. It guest stars John Ratzenberger as Pixar Homer Simpson.

Summary

"In "School Is Hell", Bart and Lisa are transported to a demon-filled alternate universe where Bart excels at his new school. In "A Clockwork Yellow", Moog's gang is disrupted when Dum (Homer) falls for a girl (Marge) who wants him to give up the thug life. Finally, in "The Others", the Simpson family are haunted by a family of ghosts, which turn out to be the family from the shorts, who were murdered and buried in the house."

Reception

"Treehouse of Horror XXV" was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program in the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards. However, it lost to Over the Garden Wall.
