The swimming pool lifeguard is an unnamed swimming pool lifeguard at the swimming pool in Springfield.

History[edit]

He told Jimbo, Kearney, and Dolph that there was no horseplay at the swimming pool as they were beating up Bart. Jimbo replied that it wasn't play, it was serious payback, finding a loophole in the rule. The lifeguard then phoned his friend Abbie to clarify this and ask about switching shifts. He then saw Bart running and told him there was no running by the pool, but Bart said that he was on the grass, not by the pool. The lifeguard then moaned about everyone being "swimming pool lawyers".[1]

He saved the life of Homer when he went under the water with his bowling ball.[2]

The lifeguard attended the intersection showdown with other lifeguards. However, Homer told him that it was a land argument.[3]

Homer and Grampa created a sport called Noodleball, which was played in empty swimming pools. When summer was coming, the lifeguard showed up with a group of fellow lifeguards, parents, and children demanding they release the place, since it was summer and the kids needed the place to swim. Despite their refusal, he proceeded to refill the pool, forcing them to leave.[4]
