- The Museum of Modern Art is seen at The National Museum of Museums.
- There are also exhibits of The Guggenheim and The Louvre.
- Otto says that he listened to his entire Whitesnake mixtape, which meant it was time for everyone to leave.
- Homer took the Mona Lisa from The National Museum of Museums.
- Ralph sings "The Wheels on the Bus" on the bus.
- Homer sings the songs "Mickey" by Toni Basil, "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred and "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston on the bus.
- Homer has a membership card for the Fantastic Four Fan Club. Homer then says "it's clobberin' time", The Thing's catchphrase.
- Homer takes the kids to Mount Rushmore, the Washington Monument, the Liberty Bell, and the Alamo.
- Caveman tells Zig Zag that he thinks Slash from Guns N' Roses fell into his hole, when it was really Otto.
- Both Caveman and Zig Zag are characters from the book Holes with their real names being "Stanley Yelnats" (Caveman) and "Ricky" (Zig Zag)
- Homer tells Lisa to get back on the "Magic School Bus". Lisa then points out that The Magic School Bus is an already existing television and book series.
