The Yeti is the father of Moe Szyslak who lives on Mt. Everest.

History

Moe said that his dad was a circus freak, but his mother didn't remember which one.

The yeti found the flag that a man who climbed Everest was carrying and gave it to his son, Moe Szyslak.

When Moe was younger, he and his father were seen singing the Springfield city anthem at the Springfield Town Hall

Behind the Laughter

In the real world, the Yeti is an ape-like cryptid (similar to Bigfoot) that is reputed to live in the Himalayas.
