Merge requests[edit]

See also: Category:Articles to be merged.

Little Bo Peep and Bo Peep[edit]

There's the Marge costume and reference in "Lisa Gets the Blues" plus the nursery rhyme in "Yokel Chords" seem better to put them all together with the existing articles. Snowball II (talk) 06:34, July 6, 2024 (EDT)

Yeah, I'm fine with this. They are supposed to be the same character. The Solar Dragon 06:41, July 6, 2024 (EDT)

Springfield Train Station into Springfield Union Station[edit]

Same as the previous request to merge Springfield Station . Snowball II (talk) 23:26, October 20, 2024 (EDT)

Split requests[edit]

Arlington[edit]

Unsure if any of the appearances are to Arlington as a city. Seems it's either the Pentagon or specifically Arlington National Cemetery in each case. Snowball II (talk) 11:07, June 14, 2024 (EDT)

The Pentagon is in Arlington, so any appearances of that would count as an appearance of Arlington, in the same way that if the Statue of Liberty is shown, that's an appearance of New York City. As for the cemetery, it's only been shown in one episode, with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. And with it getting a mention as well, I'll probably throw up an article for it tomorrow. However, the city page should remain. The Solar Dragon 19:18, July 2, 2024 (EDT)
I guess, but NYC would have its own article since there have been appearances or mentions beyond just the Statue of Liberty and there isn't a separate article for Liberty Island. I'm not disagreeing they are in Arlington, NoVa, but a line "Arlington National Cemetery is blah, blah located in Arlington, Virginia directly across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C." with or without a wikilink to Arlington the place and same with the Pentagon which would wrap it rather than a separate article for Arlington just to restate it's an urban county near D.C. and relist the info from the National Cemetery and Pentagon pages since no mentions nor appearances of the actual Arlington, Va. When it's a location such as Mount Rushmore, there's not a separate article for the Black Hills. If Arlington National Cemetery and the Pentagon were more in actually urban Arlington I might not bother, but both are kind of remote (I guess technically it's the Pentagon City area of Arlington) and onto themselves like an airport and Orly Airport doesn't also need a page just to restate Orly is a commune of Paris or Westchester, California article for LAX. And Arlington National Cemetery is not named after the city/county, but both are named after Robert E. Lee's mansion. Snowball II (talk) 23:59, July 5, 2024 (EDT)
So, just to be clear, are you saying that the current Arlington page should be deleted? Or repurposed into something else? The Solar Dragon 06:41, July 6, 2024 (EDT)
I guess to redirect to Arlington National Cemetery since every mention so far to the cemetery. Not trying to make precedent for any of other similar circumstances. I know I make minor stuff into the hill I will die on, but this isn't one of them. No plans to be in any kind of a huff if it's unchanged. Snowball II (talk) 11:03, July 6, 2024 (EDT)
Yeah, I think a redirect being put in place is the best thing to do in this case then. The Solar Dragon 16:13, July 6, 2024 (EDT)
