• The level name is a pun on the game Enter the Matrix, from The Matrix franchise.
• The main boss of the level is Donkey Kong.
• Throughout the factory, Mario, Sonic, and several Koopas can be seen working behind the windows.
  • Mario mentions Bowser.
• Sonic says "I forget why I hated Eggman so much." and "That Shadow version of me? Nicest guy in the world. Misunderstood.", referencing both Doctor Eggman and Shadow the Hedgehog.
• Enemies in the level are Madden football players and enemies based on Ryu from Street Fighter.
  • The Street Fighter enemy uses the Hadouken.
  • The Street Fighter enemy references the character M. Bison.
• Warp pipes from Mario are seen and used throughout the level.
• The Street Fighter enemy says "All you Simpsons are belong to us!", a reference to "All your base are belong to us" from the game Zero Wing.
