History
Once Homer Simpson visited Dr. Julius Hibbert's family practice after deciding to intentionally gain enough weight to qualify for disability status. Hibbert strongly opposed the plan and refused to help, describing it as dangerously irresponsible. At Homer's request, he instead referred him to Dr. Nick Riviera.[1]
After Bart believed he had spotted Krusty alive, he went to Dr. Hibbert’s office and saw the same man leaving with medication for queasiness. Bart asked Dr. Hibbert who the man was, but the doctor refused to reveal his identity, explaining that doing so would violate patient-doctor confidentiality. Dr. Hibbert then joked that Jasper had only five seconds to live, causing Jasper to ask what he had said and Mrs. Glick to mistakenly believe that she was next.[2]
