History

Homer prayed to find the remote control when he could not find it because the TV had a documentary by Ken Burns about his life on.[1]

Ken Burns made a documentary on cheese making that Edna and Ned watched.[2]

The first ever Grand Prix that took place in the streets of Springfield was poorly planned, and work was being done on the circuit at the same time the cars were racing. Some construction workers were seen taking a break and watching The Making of the Empire State Building, a construction documentary narrated by Ken Burns.[3]

Lisa told Dateline: Springfield not to interview Grampa as he almost made Ken Burns quit the business. Ken Burns was then seen rocking back and forth in a psychiatrist's office and saying that Grampa was more boring than baseball.[4]

Ken Burns starred in and directed the documentary LifeBoat: Abandon Ship, which went over the issues with the company LifeBoat. Burns interviewed Mr. Burns in the documentary.[5]

Lisa said that she wanted to watch a Ken Burns documentary about jazz musicians' ex-girlfriends.[6]

When Lisa was recording Grampa's war stories, she said that it would be a first person glimpse into history, like a Ken Burns documentary. Grampa said that he didn't remember a Ken Burns, but he knew a Sid Burns.[7]
