History
Apu once got robbed by Metal Solid Snake and Bartman tried to stop the robot and he make the robot fall over its owner Snake, by placing a magnetic Bartarang on his shirt.
Behind the Laughter
His name is a reference to the game series Metal Gear Solid and the main character Solid Snake.
