"The Saga of Carl" is the 21st episode of season 24. It originally aired on May 19, 2013[1] alongside "Dangers on a Train" in a one hour season finale.[2] Sigur Rós guest-stared as themselves.
Synopsis
It's a stroke of luck when Homer, Moe, Lenny and Carl's syndicate wins the Springfield Lottery. But when Carl goes to collect the cash, it's treachery - when he disappears with the winnings. Following a set of clues, the gang venture into Carl's homeland, Iceland, and discover the truth to his backstory and justification for his betrayal.
