The Springfield Spitfires are a roller derby team in Springfield. They are owned by The Rich Texan.

History

After seeing Marge chase down Snake on roller skates, The Rich Texan approached her and offered her a spot on the Springfield Spitfires. Marge was happy to accept, as she used to love watching roller derby when she was younger.

During Marge's first tryout, a majority of the team were nasty toward her, attacking her physically and insulting her. This left Marge battered and bruised, and she decided to quit the Spitfires immediately. When Lisa found Mary Tyler Maul working at Punkberry and Springfield Roller Derby Museum, she asked her to help talk Marge into carrying on with roller derby. After Mary helped teach Marge how to be more aggressive and avoid threats, Marge went back to the team.

The Springfield Spitfires had a bout against Duke City D.I.A., and Marge helped the team win by getting the opposing team off Thugly Betty and slingshotting her to the finish line. This led to Marge getting a lot of popularity, and she was given the name Mary Tyler Maul to use, which Lisa was against since the original Mary had helped her. Marge's new attitude upset Lisa, and the original Mary Tyler Maul told Marge that she had to figure out that continuing the way she was would cost her everything. She also gave Marge her old skates to use in the bout against the She-Devils.

During the bout, Marge was distracted due to her strained relationship with Lisa, which led to the She-Devils getting a big lead. When Marge saw that Lisa was in the crowd, she started skating better, and soon she was catching up to the She-Devils' jammer, Fouly McBeal. However, the wheels on one of Marge's skates fell off, with one of them hitting Fouly McBeal and knocking her over the railing. Marge fell over right next to the finish line, but her hair landed over it, winning the bout for the Springfield Spitfires. After this win, Marge decided to quit the team.
