History[edit]
It was sold through vending machines and marketed as a healthy alternative snack. While attending college, Lisa Simpson attempted to buy a Soy Pop to calm herself after a frustrating encounter with another student, Hugh Parkfield, only to discover that he had purchased the last one available. The snack was advertised with the slogan "Now with Gag Suppressant."
