Crocodile Dundee is a crocodile hunter and the protagonist of the Australian film series "Crocodile" Dundee film series. Crocodile Dundee is portrayed by Australian actor and comedian Paul Hogan.

During a United States State Department presentation on declining American–Australian relations, Evan Conover reviewed the short-lived American obsession with Australian culture through a slideshow of late-1980s trends and stereotypes. One slide prominently featured Crocodile Dundee, which Conover cited as one of the major symbols of the brief Australian cultural craze in the United States before public interest rapidly faded.[1]
