Chernobyl is an abandoned city in Ukraine. It was the site of the Chernobyl disaster, in 1986.

History[edit]

Someone at the energy convention, in Capital City, yells "No more Chernobyl!" to Homer and Mindy Simmons, who were representing the power plant.^[1]

After stopping a meltdown, Mr. Burns tells Homer that his bravery quick thinking "turned a potential Chernobyl into a mere Three Mile Island."^[2]
