Garfield is an American comic strip created by Jim Davis. Originally published locally as Jon in 1976, then in nationwide syndication from 1978 as Garfield, it chronicles the life of the title character, Garfield the cat; Jon Arbuckle, his human owner; and Odie, the dog. In addition to the various merchandise and commercial tie-ins, the strip has spawned several animated television specials, two animated television series, two theatrical feature-length live-action/CGI animated films, and three fully CGI animated direct-to-video films.

14	310	"Old Yeller-Belly"	Luigi Risotto makes lasagna for Snowball II and mentions that the cat from the newspaper is not funny, referring to Garfield.
18	379	"The Mook, the Chef, the Wife and Her Homer"	Fat Tony asks Milhouse for one of his binders to use as a trap. Fat Tony chooses the Garfield binder rather than the Love Is... binder. "I prefer the cat, he hates Mondays, and we can all relate."
25	531	"Homerland"	Homer refers to Garfield.
25	532	"Treehouse of Horror XXIV"	On Lenny's coffee mug, it says "I hate Mondays", a reference to Garfield.
28	611	"The Cad and the Hat"	In the The Itchy & Scratchy Show episode "The Garfield Assassination", Itchy wears a Garfield costume.
33	726	"Marge the Meanie"	Ralph tells Comic Book Guy that he wants the comic where Batman eats lasagna, a reference to Garfield. Comic Book Guy then points out that is Garfield, who is a cat, not a bat.
36	783	"The Flandshees of Innersimpson"	One of the famous duos that Homer and Ned hallucinate themselves as is parodies of Garfield and Odie.
