- The title of The Itchy & Scratchy Show episode, Open Sesame Street, is a reference to Sesame Street.
- Quirk Girl is a parody of the TV series New Girl. The characters Quirk Girl and Schultz are parodies of Jessica (the main character) and Schmidt.
