Cultural references
- The level name is a pun on the game Enter the Matrix, from the Matrix franchise.
- The main boss of the level is Donkey Kong.
- All around the factory, Mario, Sonic and a few Koopas can be seen working behind the windows.
- Mario mentions Bowser.
- Sonic says "I forget why I hated Eggman so much." and "That Shadow version of me? Nicest guy in the world. Misunderstood.", referencing both Doctor Eggman and Shadow the Hedhehog.
- Enemies in the level are Madden football players and enemies based on Ryu from Street Fighter.
