Joan Bushwell's Chimp Refuge is a chimp refuge in Africa.
History
When the Simpson family gets lost in Africa, they see a chimpanzee who leads them to "Joan Bushwell's Chimp Refuge", which is run by Dr. Joan Bushwell. Dr. Bushwell tells the Simpsons that she is in Africa to do research on chimpanzees, but when Greenpeace arrives at the refuge, the family discovers that she has enslaved the apes and is making them work in a diamond mine beneath the refuge. Fearing the repercussions for what she has done, Dr. Bushwell bribes the Simpsons and the people from Greenpeace with handfuls of diamonds.
