Trent Steele was Homer's rich tree-hugging friend after Homer changed his name to Max Power.
History
After changing his name, Homer met Trent while he was trying to get a special shirt with his name on it. Trent was impressed with Homer's name and invited him to his party. Homer and Marge attended and at first fit in well, then Trent started talking about saving the environment and the entire group went to save a forest from being cut down. Homer accidentally knocked down all of the trees and after that never saw Trent again. Trent also seemed to be friends with Bill Clinton and Ed Begley, Jr.
