TV Show Information
|
MacGyver is an American television series, starring Richard Dean Anderson as MacGyver.
History
MacGyver is Patty's and Selma's favorite TV show. They watch the show religiously and idolize both MacGyver and Richard Dean Anderson. They rarely miss an episode.
On one occasion, Patty and Selma kidnapped Anderson when he was in Springfield for a Stargate SG-1 convention, informing him that he was now doing a two-fan MacGyver convention. They tied Anderson to a chair and told him to use his MacGyver skills to escape. Anderson did so; then he discovered he liked doing the escape and asked Patty and Selma to tie him up again and again so he could do even more complex escapes. In an ironic turn of events, Anderson ended up becoming a nuisance to Patty and Selma and they couldn't wait to be rid of him.[1]
Behind the Laughter
MacGyver was a real TV show, airing on ABC. Angus McGyver was the main character, also played by Richard Dean Anderson.
