"Sashes to Sashes" is the seventh episode of broadcast season 37 of The Simpsons and the seven hundred ninety-seventh episode overall. It originally aired on November 16, 2025. It was written by Ryan Koh and directed by Michael Polcino. It guest stars Carrie Coon as Beatrice Bouvier, Cole Escola as Devin, Brendan Gleeson as Elderly Joe Quimby, Sr., and Domhnall Gleeson as Young Joe Quimby, Sr.

Synopsis
- "Bart runs against Mayor Quimby's son for student council president, while Lisa learns troubling secrets about the Quimby clan... and about the Simpsons."
Plot
At the First Church of Springfield, during the sermon, Alice Glick dies. The school then proceeds to make a cerimony in memory of her since she left her entire estate to it to fund the new music program, but Joe Quimby III intervenes, proposing that she intended to fund a music festival, the "Springfield Elementary Music Fest", inviting bands including Chunk Mafia, and he says that it'll become a reality when he becomes student council president. Lisa opposes it, but Mayor Quimby bribes the kids with ice cream. Lisa tells Skinner that they run the town forever with no struggle, but the story of the family is revealed.
100 years prior, the Quimby family was struggling to find something to eat, when the mother found a turnip, but Joe Quimby, Sr. stole it and fled town on a ship with it and arriving at Springfield. Back to the present, Joe Quimby III is bounding on a bounce house, while Lisa is sulking and wants to go against him in the election, but Devin proposes Bart to be the one, as he's more popular. In the past, in 1929, Senior and Iggy Wiggum can't find a better job due to being Irish and watch the Saint Patrick's Day's parade.
