After considering Donald Trump, Arnold Palmer and Bill Cosby, Homer realized to his chagrin that there wasn't any such person.[2]
A homeless man at the Bumtown Soup Kitchen called Seymour Skinner Donald Trump, right after Edna Krabappel stood him up.[3] When Lisa came to pick up Marge, Charles Heathbar said that he wanted to tell to his wife "you're fired!" Marge and Lisa then told him that they knew who he was, and he told them that he did not believe them as the joke was perfect.[4]

Trump served as President of the United States, immediately preceding Lisa Simpson. While in office, Trump evidently made some bad financial decisions, leaving the Simpson administration with "quite a budget crunch".[8]
Homer nominated Trump for the Ice Bucket Challenge.[9]
He is seen tweeting and watching TV from his bed at the White House.[10]
Trump was at Trump Hotel where he tried to bribe Robert Mueller with $750 million. Mueller rejected the bribe and tried to arrest Trump so Trump tried to pardon himself. When that didn't work, he tried to bribe Mueller again with a judge position on Miss Universe. When that didn't work, Mueller left. A maid then entered the room to do housekeeping and Trump told her that there was no money and he was never there then left the room.[11]
Trump decided that he had to take a look in the mirror and decided to get his faults off his chest. When he started getting his faults off his chest, he couldn't stop. He got rid of all his guilt doing this. He then called up Vladimir Putin and told him to leave the USA alone. He then woke up and realized it was all a terrible dream. He then decided to tweet what was deep in his heart, saying that Alec Baldwin wears a hairpiece.[12]
When future Bart went back in time, he told the Simpsons that Donald Trump would become president.[13]
