While at the Simpson's house for a Mardi Gras party, Mayor Quimby got a call from his wife. He then told all the other guests to be quiet and pretend that the party was a trade seminar in Zurich. His plan failed, however, as his wife was also at the party.[1]
After Marge promised to put out the fire at Springfield Tire Yard during the mayoral debate, Lenny exclaimed that Springfield without a tire yard fire would make it just like Zurich.[2]
