Barnacle Bay is an island located in New England and a former tourist attraction.

Marge had many happy memories of visiting Barnacle Bay as a child. When she saw some old home movie footage of a family trip to Barnacle Bay, she began to feel nostalgic for the place. Homer took her there for a visit, but Marge was sad to find that the island had become a disgusting dump, in sharp contrast to the tourist paradise it had been when she was a child.
