Gazpacho was a chilled tomato soup prepared by Lisa Simpson as a vegetarian alternative to the meat served at Homer Simpson's backyard barbecue.
History[edit]
After Homer Simpson organized a barbecue in response to Ned Flanders' family reunion, Lisa prepared enough gazpacho for all of the guests in an effort to persuade them not to eat meat. Upon announcing that it was "tomato soup, served ice cold," the guests laughed at the dish, and Barney Gumble mockingly shouted, "Go back to Russia!", leaving the gazpacho rejected.
