"Parahormonal Activity" is the eleventh episode of season 37 of The Simpsons and the eight-hundred first episode overall. It originally aired on December 14, 2025. The episode was written by Loni Steele Sosthand and directed by Chris Clements. It guest stars Lindsay Lohan as Future Maggie, Jon Lovitz as Artie Ziff, and Megan Mullally as Sarah Wiggum.
"Parahormonal Activity" was dedicated in memory of architect and designer Frank Gehry, who died on December 5.
Synopsis[edit]
- Set in the near future, Marge is competently coping with the hormonal onslaught hitting her now teenage kids when she's suddenly struck by a big life change of her own, leaving Homer as the last sane person in the house... or is he?
Plot[edit]
The morning after Marge's 43rd birthday, the Simpson family is having breakfast. Homer worries about his teenage children coming down the stairs because of the noise and the sweat breaking on him. Marge asks him how the wedding vows for Ned are going, as he is writing them and has found a good mean joke to add. Lisa and Bart then come downstairs, with Lisa complaining about acne and other problems of puberty. Marge responds by pointing out that the changes women go through are beautiful and are gifts. Bart asks for more food due to his large appetite, and Marge struggles to keep up with it.
When Bart goes to get chili out of the cupboard, he is too short to reach it, and Lisa grabs it instead, laughing at how much shorter he is. Bart then grabs the keys, saying he wants to drive to school and that he wants to learn how to not guilt people if they do not let him practice. Maggie tries to intervene, but Marge stops her because she is still recovering from her laryngitis.
