Trivia[edit]

  • All the new footage in this episode is colored using digital ink and paint. This marks the second time it was used in the series, after "Radioactive Man".
  • The wraparound sequences with Troy were animated by USAnimation, which also provided the digital coloring for "Radioactive Man".
  • The answer to the question during the first commercial break claims that the cash register says "NRA4EVER" when Maggie is scanned. This is a joke and the cash register actually says "847.63", the estimated cost of raising a baby for one month in 1989.
  • Alternate shooters of Mr. Burns include; Barney, Tito Puente, Moe, Apu, and Santa's Little Helper.
    • The alternate ending where Mr. Burns reveals that Waylon Smithers shot him is also shown. This alternate ending was created to stop the show's staff from leaking the ending.
