History
When Springfield's most intelligent citizens take over the city, Comic Book Guy notes that Springfield is now 299 on the list of the country's 300 most liveable cities, and says: "Take that, East St. Louis". [1]
When planning their trip to Brazil, Lisa says it will be really cheap if they change planes in Phoenix, Honolulu, Sun City, and East St. Louis, spend the night in a haunted house and leave "right now."[2]
When Homer says he is planning a trip to St. Louis, and is asked "East St. Louis?", he replies "Is there any other St. Louis?"[3]
