Barnacle Bay is an island in New England. After seeing old footage of a family trip to Barnacle Bay, Marge begins to feel nostalgic and as a result, Homer takes her there. Although the island of old was a paradise, the island the Simpsons saw was a disgusting dump. The main industries on the island are tourism and fishing for "Yum Yum Fish", but after a stern lecture from Lisa on the dangers of over-fishing, the island inhabitants switched over to logging.

The Island has a store selling Caramel, a decaying boardwalk that was repaired and burnt down by Homer Simpson on the exact same day, a Church, and a museum.
