Town/City Information

New Springfield was created when, after a dispute about area codes, Homer declared he would create his own town, which he decided to call "New Springfield". The citizens that didn't go to New Springfield then formed Olde Springfield.
History
After the area code change. Homer and the part of town which had a changed are code left to form New Springfield and the rest of the town that kept the old area code became Olde Springfield. Homer made himself the first and only mayor of New Springfield. It was shown that most of the rich people live in Olde Springfield and they have all the stores with food. A wall was put between the Olde Springfield and New Springfield. After much quarreling (and Olde Springfield often succeeding) the wall between the two towns was torn down by The Who who were performing. As a result, the two towns became one again.
