The televised boxing match The Bout to Knock the Other Guy Out, featuring Drederick Tatum and Watson, took place in Las Vegas.[1]
After losing money on pumpkin investments and falling behind on his mortgage, Homer Simpson called Las Vegas to place a gambling bet on red in a desperate attempt to recover financially. The gamble failed, worsening his debt problems and forcing him to continue searching for money through loans and extra work.[2]
While Krusty’s private plane was being auctioned after he lost his fortune, he became upset because he loved the aircraft and remembered using it to fly to Las Vegas with Dean Martin. Krusty recalled that during one of their flights, Dean Martin looked out the window and the moon reminded them of a famous song, so they wrote a song about it, although it later turned out to infringe on a song Martin had already recorded.[3]
