The Babylonian Talmud was cited during a discussion between Bart and Rabbi Hyman Krustofski.[1]
During a shoplifting prevention film shown at Try-N-Save, Troy McClure explained that shoplifting supposedly originated in ancient Phoenicia before stating that the practice later continued into Babylonia. The presentation was interrupted by store detective Don Brodka before the historical account could continue.[2]
