Gettysburg is a city in Pennsylvania and the site of the Battle of Gettysburg, fought July 1–3, 1863 by Union and Confederate forces during the American Civil War. The battle involved the largest number of casualties of the entire war.

History[edit]

After losing his position within the Stonecutters, Homer Simpson organized a reenactment of the Battle of Gettysburg using costumed monkeys gathered inside the former Stonecutters meeting hall.[1]

When Bart, Lisa, and Milhouse played at they had a time machine wanted Lisa travel to 1864 and Gettysburg for meeting Abraham Lincoln. Bart refused the idea.[2]

When Grampa Simpson gave the Simpsons' pocket watch to Bart he mentioned it has been an heirloom since it was stolen off a dead body... in Gettysburgh... In 1982.[3]
