On Moments with Martin, Kent Brockman confessed that he never went to journalism school and that he got his credentials from an offer in the back of a magazine, which gave him the choice of either becoming a newscaster or learning how to draw Nutsy the Squirrel. Later, Brockman was sketching Nutsy. He told Bart and Milhouse that after only a few more weeks and a few more reams of paper, he would finally be able to draw Nutsy.
