Lake Placid is a village in New York. Lake Placid hosted the Winter Olympic Games in 1932 and again in 1980.

History[edit]

When Marge imagines an alternate life for herself, she imagines doing a news report from Lake Placid "where the "Miracle on Ice" never happened." Marge returned to reality and screamed in horror to her family's confusion.
