+ | === Bus Depot and Bus Station === | ||
+ | In the wider shot of [[:File:Bus Depot.png]] the building also has Springfield Bus Station written on the side so isn't next door, but I seems like a combo building. A bus depot and a bus station are often used interchangeably yet Milhouse goes there specifically to buy a ticket from the counter which happens at a bus station as a depot bus (quoting the Wikipedia article), "While the term bus depot can also be used to refer to a bus station, it can also refer to a bus garage." Bus depots are usually used for the storage and maintained of buses while the bus station is where passengers buy tickets (think of airplane hangar and airport terminal are both part of the airport with different functions). It might be the building is a combo of the two, but it's more confusing to separate it as the use in the episode is as a bus station and the building as Springfield Bus Station prominently written on it at least twice. Merge[edit]
1990 Burger King dolls into Burger King[edit]
A minor article that could just as easily be put into the Burger King page. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
3rd Base Point and Make-Out Point into Inspiration Point[edit]
I personally disagree with this merge as I feel that they are all separate locations. 3rd Base Point and Make-Out Point overlook different angles of Springfield so could be different places. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST) ~Per Solar. -- CJC 12:12, February 24, 2014 (EST)
Artists (reprise) into Artists[edit]
Obvious reason really. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
Astro-Heist: Gemini-3 into Astro Heist on Gemini 3[edit]
Obviously the same film. The only reason I want it this way round is episodes > games. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
- Yep. -- CJC 12:12, February 24, 2014 (EST)
- Agree. ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 12:24, February 24, 2014 (EST)
- Split, diffrent names. /AleWi (talk) 12:59, February 24, 2014 (EST)
- Except they aren't really different names. They appear to be the same film and the only difference is the film poster differs from the : and on. What you're saying is similar to saying The Avengers and Avengers Assemble are different films. Some films have multiple names, mainly in other countries, but they do. The Solar Dragon 12:56, February 25, 2014 (EST)
- Split, diffrent names. /AleWi (talk) 12:59, February 24, 2014 (EST)
Springfield Atoms Stadium into Buzz Cola Dome[edit]
Same building, different name. Stadiums often have their names changed when they come under new sponsorship. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
Clip and $ave into Clip and Save[edit]
Names are too similar to not be the same place. Only reason for this is later names > earlier names. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
Gulp-N-Blow into Gulp 'N' Blow[edit]
Seems to be a mall outlet for the fast food franchise. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
- Per Solar. -- CJC 12:14, February 24, 2014 (EST)
- Agree. ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 12:24, February 24, 2014 (EST)
- Split. Diffrent names from diffrent episodes. /AleWi (talk) 12:59, February 24, 2014 (EST)
- The names aren't that different, only signage is different. The restaurant is called that at other times as well. Let's go real life examples. Are you saying that a McDonald's in a mall is not part of the same chain as a McDonald's in its own building? It's part of the same chain and should be merged. The Solar Dragon 12:56, February 25, 2014 (EST)
- Split. Diffrent names from diffrent episodes. /AleWi (talk) 12:59, February 24, 2014 (EST)
Howard K. Duff VII into Howard K. Duff VIII[edit]
I totally disagree with this. Everything suggests that they are different characters other than their looks. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
- One is the seventh. The other the eighth. Ergo, different. -- CJC 12:15, February 24, 2014 (EST)
Snipper Cuts and Shaves into Jake's Unisex Barbershop[edit]
It's gone through so many name changes in the past that it is most likely one. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
- If all the others are one page, that should be. -- CJC 12:17, February 24, 2014 (EST)
- Split. diffrent places, only same employee. /AleWi (talk) 12:59, February 24, 2014 (EST)
- Except Jake is the only employee implying that he owns it. His shop has changed names and looks several times. We have all the others merged into the same article. Once again, going by this logic, the Simpson House from the shorts is different from the Simpson House in the episodes as it looks different. The school from season 1 is different from the school in season 2 onwards as it's a different color. The Solar Dragon 12:56, February 25, 2014 (EST)
- Split. diffrent places, only same employee. /AleWi (talk) 12:59, February 24, 2014 (EST)
List of Krusty products into KrustyCo Inc.[edit]
I disagree with this. The page will become too long if this happened and it's notable enough for its own page. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
- Per SD -- CJC 12:17, February 24, 2014 (EST)
Le Pamperie Hair Salon into The Perm Bank[edit]
Seems to be the same place. Last used name. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
- The first article already says that another name is the second article. -- CJC 12:18, February 24, 2014 (EST)
Sky vans into Sky[edit]
Seems obvious to me really. Not really notable for its own article. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
- Yep. -- CJC 12:19, February 24, 2014 (EST)
Some Enchanted Evening original workprint into Some Enchanted Evening[edit]
Agree. Can go under production. Doesn't need its own article. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
- Yep. -- CJC 12:19, February 24, 2014 (EST)
The Simpsons Movie 2007 Burger King promotion into Burger King[edit]
Same as the previous Burger King merchandise merge. It should all be kept under one roof. The Solar Dragon 17:28, February 28, 2014 (EST)
Mother bear, Father bear, and Baby bear into Bear family[edit]
What can I say about the bear family in Treehouse of Horror XI's "Scary Tales Can Come True"? They all practically have the same role as one another (and are one-time characters). I say they should all be merged into an article called Bear family. Gazlene the Pork Girl (talk) 12:26, April 5, 2014 (EDT)
- Agreed. The Solar Dragon 18:18, April 14, 2014 (EDT)
- Yep. -- Webkinz ManiaTalkContributionsEditcount 10:44, April 15, 2014 (EDT)
List of Staks in Simpsons Staks into Simpsons Staks[edit]
Two crappy articles that can be easily merged together. The Solar Dragon 18:18, April 14, 2014 (EDT)
- Yep. -- Webkinz ManiaTalkContributionsEditcount 10:44, April 15, 2014 (EDT)
Chirpy Boy & Bart Junior (lizard) into Chirpy Boy & Bart Junior[edit]
Identical, no defining characteristics, can't tell them apart. The Solar Dragon 12:09, April 18, 2014 (EDT)
All books in Category:Lisa's Made for the Shade Summertime Reading List into Lisa's Made for the Shade Summertime Reading List[edit]
33 mentioned books. Tiny articles. Only really needs one page and should be as a list. The Solar Dragon 17:42, April 23, 2014 (EDT)
Susan into Becky Shorter[edit]
I agree with this. They seem to be the same student, just different names. An easy mistake for background characters. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
Mom into Shoshanna[edit]
Agree. Same person. Just dyed her hair. Facial structure and earrings are exactly the same. Normally I would argue reused character design but the difference is fairly minor. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
Sweet old lady into Martha Wilson[edit]
Can't really tell without an image. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
Camp Bart into Kamp Krusty (location)[edit]
Same place, makes sense to merge them together. The Solar Dragon 13:58, May 1, 2014 (EDT)
- Support. --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 16:22, May 1, 2014 (EDT)
- I also support this move. DoctorMcGann (talk) 23:49, May 15, 2014 (EDT)
Builders' Barn into Builder's Barn[edit]
Obviously intended to be another branch of the same location. DoctorMcGann (talk) 23:48, May 15, 2014 (EDT)
Charles Montgomery Burns' adoptive father into Wainwright Montgomery Burns[edit]
Isn't Wainwright the adoptive father of Mr. Burns? Vilius (talk) 15:47, June 18, 2014 (EDT)
- No. Different people. The Solar Dragon 16:13, June 18, 2014 (EDT)
- Well, in Charles Montgomery Burns page it says "Adoptive father: Wainwright Montgomery Burns"... I'm also sure he is really the adoptive father of Mr. Burns. I can't understand how can they be different people, can you explain? Vilius (talk) 12:42, June 19, 2014 (EDT)
Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and Neymar into FC Barcelona[edit]
Never appeared in any official media, i.e. episodes, movies, comics, etc. Just promotional pictures, therefore, not notable enough for their own articles. The Solar Dragon 07:04, July 5, 2014 (EDT)
Springfield Civic Center into Springfield Community Center[edit]
Obviously the same place, exactly the same design. Just different name in a couple of episodes. The Solar Dragon 11:57, September 13, 2014 (EDT)
TV3+ into TV3 (Denmark)[edit]
Same channel, just an hour later... The Solar Dragon 16:41, September 18, 2014 (EDT)
- I don't think it's a +1 one channel like in a lot of countries. This seems to be a different channel with different shows. | | Talk | Contributions | Edit count | 16:44, September 18, 2014 (EDT)
- Well, same principal as the Sky and Fox channels then... Actually, all the TV3 channels should be merged together. The Solar Dragon 17:08, September 18, 2014 (EDT)
- What? Sky+ isn't even a channel... We only have two TV3 articles anyway. | | Talk | Contributions | Edit count | 17:12, September 18, 2014 (EDT)
- Sky2, Sky3, Sky Living etc. I meant merging those channels into one article, which is what we did on the Sky article... And we have 4 TV3 articles, and one red link. The Solar Dragon 17:44, September 18, 2014 (EDT)
- The Hungarian and Lithuanian TV3s aren't the same, just like the foreign FOXs. (or FOXes?) | | Talk | Contributions | Edit count | 17:45, September 18, 2014 (EDT)
- Sky2, Sky3, Sky Living etc. I meant merging those channels into one article, which is what we did on the Sky article... And we have 4 TV3 articles, and one red link. The Solar Dragon 17:44, September 18, 2014 (EDT)

M.C. Birthday into M.C. Safety[edit]
Clearly the same rapper (with the same crew) simply going by a different M.C. name. Bleedinggumsmurphy1 (talk) 17:30, October 17, 2014 (EDT)
Coming Soon! and From The Shelves Of The Androids Dungeon into Simpsons Comics UK series[edit]
Does not need its own article. The Solar Dragon 10:33, December 20, 2014 (EST)
Soccer Mom into Gavin's mother[edit]
Look similar, both mothers, Gavin's mother could be described as a "Soccer Mom" too. The Solar Dragon 10:38, December 20, 2014 (EST)
Starving Teachers Moving Co. into Starving Teachers[edit]
Seem to be the same company. The Solar Dragon 10:38, December 20, 2014 (EST)
The Simpsons: Tapped Out Stonecutters Sale content update into The Simpsons: Tapped Out Stonecutters Black Market Sale content update[edit]
They are simply the same article. Someone created the first one and some time after an other user created the latter. / Loco87 (TALK / Contribs) 09:36, February 6, 2015 (EST)
- The update kick of is unique for this content update as well as decorations and buildings which differ in price and appearance. So, not everything is a copy of the initial Stonecutters update and the related article. As such, it would make sense to keep both but the new remake should be reduced to the clearly new update items.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.10.111.153 (talk) 14:35, February 6, 2015 (EDT)
- No, the update is not the same. For instance some itmes cannot be obtained - in contrast to the first Stonecutters event. Moreover there are significant gameplay differences - as thereJ were daily tasks in the first Stonecutters event. Because of that and in order not to confuse readers, it is advantegous to keep to keep separate articles. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.10.111.153 (talk) 02:18, February 7, 2015
Billy (The Boy Who Knew Too Much) into Billy (actor)[edit]
Seem to be the same person, just different hair color. The Solar Dragon 10:38, December 20, 2014 (EST)
- Agree. ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 11:08, December 20, 2014 (EST)
- Not agree, Billy is fictional in McBain, but alive in TroyMclure./~~
All people in the Oscar Selfie into Oscar Selfie[edit]
They all only appeared in one picture. It may have been an official Simpsons picture, but it's not in any official media. I don't think they are notable appearances. The Solar Dragon 16:01, January 13, 2015 (EST)
Franklin Burns into Franklin Jefferson Burns[edit]
Both seem to be the same person. The Solar Dragon 13:55, February 11, 2015 (EST)
E. Blackburn to Elma Blackburn[edit]
I'd guess they are the same person. It is very likely this is the case. The Solar Dragon 18:31, August 9, 2015 (EDT)
Sophie Jensen and Girl with pigtails[edit]
They look to be the same character. Same hairstyle/general appearance. --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 17:03, May 13, 2015 (EDT)
- I agree. I had no idea they were separate pages.Bleedinggumsmurphy1 (talk) 01:48, May 14, 2015 (EDT)
Bookachinos and Bookaccino's[edit]
The names are very similar. FatHomerTalk 14:22, September 21, 2015 (EDT)
Season 75 to References in other media[edit]
This is where it belongs. The Solar Dragon 11:21, September 22, 2015 (EDT)
- Definitely FatHomerTalk 12:04, September 22, 2015 (EDT)
- Not merged, made by the Simpsons for the series./AleWi (talk) 14:30, September 22, 2015 (EDT)
- It's still a reference in other media. Even if it was made by The Simpsons. The Solar Dragon 14:49, September 22, 2015 (EDT)
- Merge, also why is it listed in the seasons category, even though its not a real season? —Fred (Talk • Contribs.) 23:48, September 22, 2015 (EDT)
- Agree with the proposed merge. It should be an "other media" reference because it's not part of the show. -- Mythigator (talk) 09:09, September 23, 2015 (EDT)

Laramie Cigarettes and Lady Laramie[edit]
But I'm not sure. Duff Beer and Lady Duff have separate articles. What do you think? FatHomerTalk 04:46, October 12, 2015 (EDT)
Hungry Spuckler Baby to Spuckler children[edit]
Not notable enough for its own article. The Solar Dragon 13:10, October 29, 2015 (EDT)
Taylor Spuckler to Addem-up Spuckler[edit]
While we're on the topic of Spuckler children, I noticed these two have exactly the same character model. --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 14:04, October 29, 2015 (EDT)
Maude Flanders (ghost) into Maude Flanders[edit]
Pretty self-explanatory. They're the same character. The Solar Dragon 15:42, October 23, 2016 (EDT)
Photo girl and Violet Bazaar[edit]
Hard disagree on this. Some characters have very similar appearances to others in the Uncensored Family Album but aren't the same character. They just share the same design. The Solar Dragon 13:15, November 17, 2023 (EST)
- Please don't be too hard on it (just kidding). You'd know this better, but I was trying to think of other examples. I can think of Miranda Potter and Helen Lovejoy, but sees like a very different situation since I wouldn't propose merging them nor support a merging. Violet Bazaar being the same generation as the Simpsons kids kind of makes sense she goes to the same school, but being the same article isn't stating definitively "photo girl" is or isn't Violet Bazaar, but putting it into an article with open-ended language. Snowball II (talk) 13:45, November 17, 2023 (EST)
- Yeah, I'd rather not merge them unless we're given concrete evidence to the characters being the same. So they'll stay separate until then (which likely will never happen). The Solar Dragon 13:51, November 17, 2023 (EST)
- I personally just toke Violet Bazaar as same as the photo girl, but I get any hesitancies on a couple of levels especially as the canon status of that book can be hard to nail down (plenty of examples, but Penelope Olsen and Ingrid Gurney right off the bat) plus she has only ever had a one-line in the first season so far, but (respectfully) that seems like a bit too hard standard to maintain? If there was contradicts later on, of course change it. Probably a better way to word it, but at least something within the article along the lines of at least how they share a character design with each other. Snowball II (talk) 14:18, November 17, 2023 (EST)
- Also the Simpsons have a photograph of Violet's grandfather Mort Krupp among their family memorabilia. Snowball II (talk) 14:56, November 17, 2023 (EST)

You're mentioning of similar designs for characters on the family tree got me curious. James Gobel is also a classmate at Enriched Learning Center for Gifted Children, right? Snowball II (talk) 15:13, November 17, 2023 (EST)
From Krusty's Mansion To Schtickfair[edit]
Same place. Snowball II (talk) 13:15, November 22, 2023 (EST)
Mondegreen[edit]
Alouette the same song both times, but Bart just unintentionally got the lyrics wrong. Snowball II (talk) 14:45, December 28, 2023 (EST)
- Two different singers, two different lyrics. The song articles should be separate. The Solar Dragon 16:08, December 28, 2023 (EST)
- Different singers can sing the same song and it's only gentille and jaunty which it's part of joke on how Bart doesn't know the song beyond the first line and even does a mondegreen on that first life. Snowball II (talk) 16:44, December 28, 2023 (EST)
- We have separate articles for songs, even if they're the same song, if they're sung by different people in different episodes. The Solar Dragon 16:51, December 28, 2023 (EST)

Springfield Station and Springfield Union Station[edit]
Seems like a situartion similar to Springfield Airport and Springfield International Airport. Looking at "Lisa's Substitute" and other early appearances where stuff like coloring might be a bit different, but overall still pretty similar. Snowball II (talk) 01:17, January 9, 2024 (EST)
Springfield Forest and Springfield National Forest[edit]
If Springfield Forest was created by President Theodore Roosevelt, it would be a national park and the President doesn't create state parks or municipal parks? http://www.nps.gov/thrb/learn/historyculture/trandthenpsystem.htm Also in "Mr. Lisa Goes to Washington" is repeatedly called Springfield Forest. http://frinkiac.com/caption/S03E02/867649 http://frinkiac.com/caption/S03E02/399616 Snowball II (talk) 12:59, February 28, 2024 (EST)
Bus Depot and Bus Station[edit]
In the wider shot of File:Bus Depot.png the building also has Springfield Bus Station written on the side so isn't next door, but I seems like a combo building. Split[edit]
Steve Austin into Steve Austin and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin[edit]
Two different people. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
- Split, diffrent people. /AleWi (talk) 13:05, February 24, 2014 (EST)
- Concur. Split. -- Mythigator (talk) 14:50, February 24, 2014 (EST)
Gorilla the Conqueror into Gorilla the Conqueror and Gorilla the Conqueror (character)[edit]
Article is currently about the character. Needs one for the show and character, which is all mixed up at the moment. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
- Merge. Have not enough information for two articles. /AleWi (talk) 13:05, February 24, 2014 (EST)
- Needs more consideration. What we know about the character is basically the same as what we know about the film, so a split would result in two nearly identical articles. Maybe we could rework the article so that it's more clearly about the character, just give the film a mention in the course of the article, and then have the film article just be a redirect to the character article? -- Mythigator (talk) 14:50, February 24, 2014 (EST)
Greyhound puppies into Greyhound puppies (first litter) and Greyhound puppies (second litter)[edit]
Two different sets of puppies. Shouldn't be on the same article. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
- Split. Two diffrent sets. /AleWi (talk) 13:05, February 24, 2014 (EST)
- A split that definitely needs to happen. -- Mythigator (talk) 14:50, February 24, 2014 (EST)
iPod into iPod and iPod (characters)[edit]
This is the suggested split. I, however, don't believe the characters are notable for their own article and should only get a mention. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
Jurassic Park into Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park (film)[edit]
First one is the reference article. Second for the film. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
- Split. Diffrent objects. /AleWi (talk) 13:05, February 24, 2014 (EST)
- Concur with the split. -- Mythigator (talk) 14:50, February 24, 2014 (EST)
The Springfield Inquisitor into The Springfield Inquisitor and The Springfield Inquisitor (building)[edit]
Main one should be the magazine. Other can be the building. The Solar Dragon 17:07, February 20, 2014 (EST)
Lunchlady Dora and Lunchlady Dora[edit]
Should we move Lunchlady Dora to Lunchlady Dora for the episodes with start at "The Mook, the Chef, the Wife and Her Homer" based on this tweet? /AleWi (talk) 14:42, April 5, 2014 (EDT)
Nina Skalka and Nina Skalka[edit]
Should we delete the redirect and leave only the "Nina Skalka" version? According to Wikisimpsons Non-Canon Policy, the game "Virtual Bart" is non-canon and the character has been mentioned as "Nina Skalka" in an episode and mentioned as "Nina Skalka" in a Game which is considered Non-canon, and "If another source contradicts an episode, the episode comes first. Before books, etc." / Loco87 (Talk / Contribs)16:15, May 4, 2014 (EDT)
What episode was she referred to as Nina Skalka? Bleedinggumsmurphy1 (talk) 18:17, May 4, 2014 (EDT)
The episode is "Milhouse doesn't live here anymore". Notfut (talk) 18:17, May 4, 2014 (EDT)
- Didn't somebody check that already? I think they found Mrs. K actually calls her "missy". --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 22:39, May 4, 2014 (EDT)
"Milhouse doesn't live here anymore" is the first episode where she talks, but she is never named, when Mrs. K called her "missy" it was "Home Sweet Homediddly" (or whatever that episode was called) and "missy" was in the sense of little miss and not her actual name Bleedinggumsmurphy1 (talk) 02:37, May 5, 2014 (EDT)
- Yes, I know "missy" wasn't her actual name. --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 09:58, May 5, 2014 (EDT)
- Well, "missy" is a short form for "Nina Skalka". / Loco87 (Talk / Contribs) 14:39, May 14, 2014 (EDT)
A non-canon name is better than no name. Therefore the page stays where it is. The Solar Dragon 13:22, September 13, 2014 (EDT)
Three Unnamed Spuckler Babies, Unnamed Spuckler baby, "Something New" Spuckler Baby and Unborn Spuckler Baby into Spuckler children[edit]
All unnamed, non-speaking, not much known about them. May as well be merged into the same article. The Solar Dragon 06:36, February 27, 2015 (EST)
Springfield Shopper[edit]
I think we should move the Headlines section to a new page called "List of the Springfield Shopper headlines". The same way Couch gag and List of couch gags or Chalkboard gag and List of chalkboard gags are in two separate pages. FatHomerTalk 07:22, October 10, 2015 (EDT)
- I agree. It definitely could be split, and should be. The Solar Dragon 11:12, October 10, 2015 (EDT)
Yeti into Yeti and Moe Szyslak's father[edit]
I feel that they should be counted as 2 separate characters and the Yeti should be classed as non-canon. The Solar Dragon 12:58, January 11, 2016 (EST)
Anne of Cleves[edit]
Agnes Skinner is stand-in for Katherine Parr (significant older than any of this other brides at the time of their wedding and she had already twice widowed)? Snowball II (talk) 20:23, January 2, 2024 (EST)
