Colette was a waitress who worked at Flaming Moe's.
Contents
History
Once Moe becomes one of the trendiest nightspots, Moe hired Colette to help him out with the new extra customers. Colette soon discovers that Moe stole the recipe from Homer, and convinces him to sell the "Flaming Moe" for $1,000,000 and give half of the money to Homer, before Homer runs into the restaurant and reveals that the secret ingredient is cough syrup.
She sleeps with Moe and afterwards convinces him to share his success with Homer since she overheared how "Flaming Moe" was actually invited by Homer. Moe is about sells the recipe to Tipsy McStagger's Goodtime Eating and Drinking Emporium when a deranged Homer tells the everyone the secret indigent, children's cough syrup. Later Homer asks the whereabouts of Moe's waitress and Moe says she left to pursue a movie career although he believes she was off staying.

Behind the Laughter
Colette is a parody of Diane Chambers, the fictional character played by Shelley Long on Cheers," and during production the interactions between her and Moe became more and more like Sam and Diane relationship. Sam Simon has been the showrunner on Cheers before The Simpsons.
Catherine O'Hara originally voiced Colette, however, the writer's decided her voice didn't fit the character and she was redubbed with Jo Ann Harris.[1] Simpsons World The Ultimate Episode Guide: Seasons 1-20 still states that O'Hara voiced Colette.
