Vermont is one of the 50 states in the US. It's capital city is Montpelier.
History
Evelyn Peters said she will not eat anything unless it had been shipped overnight from Vermont or Washington.[1]
After getting run out of Florida, the Simpson family was trying to decide on where to go for their next vacation. They were looking at a map of the US that had most of states crossed out, which were apparently all the states that the Simpsons were no longer allowed to enter.[2]
The Simpsons and Moe go to Vermont with Moe for the Wordloaf Literary Conference. The family, except Lisa, went sightseeing.[3]

Springfield, Vermont was chosen to premiere The Simpsons Movie.
