Florence is a city in Italy.
History
When it was time for Michelangelo's David coast-to-coast tour of the U.S., the statue was transported from Florence.[1] While the Simpsons dined at Luigi's, a picture of Florence was on the restaurant's wall.[2]
Homer always photographed the kids' fights and never stepped into them because he felt that lighting was perfect, and compared that to "Florence in May".[3]
In a story told by Lisa, Lisanardo da Vinci moved to Florence to further her career as an artist. There, she attended Verrocchio's Studio art school.[4]
