The Simpsons Global Fanfest was an year-long celebration honoring the tenth anniversary of The Simpsons during 2000. The Simpsons Global Fanfest was kicked off on January 14, 2000, when The Simpsons received their long-awaited star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
There was other special events, TV programs, merchandise, and promotions throughout the year, which was culminating in The Simpsons Global Fanfest Backlot Bash!, which was held at the rainy Fox studio lot in L.A. on October 29th where fans was introduced to the work of composer Alf Clausen, watched the writers participate (poorly) in a trivia quiz, invited to cast and crew Q&A sessions, and shown a making-of reel.
