The Geek Shall Inherit the Earth is a Simpsons Comics story first printed in Simpsons Comics #36.
Plot[edit]
The dean of the university (dressed as God for a costume contest) throws Doug, Gary and Benjamin out because they had already graduated last year. They can't live in the Natural History Museum, nor the Kwik-E-Mart, nor the public library, but find a place at the Android's Dungeon. During a convention there, some nerds mistake Benjamin for Urkel and chase him. They hide in Homer's car, but he forgets about them and releases them one week later.
He allows them to live in their home. They stay in the basement and spend all their time on their computers, while Bart studies them to give Nelson information about nerds. They are creating a violent video game in which the playable character resembles Homer (he looks like him and can strangle enemies). Bart accidentally uploads the unfinished game all over the internet, but people love and it soon becomes a success. The nerds have hired Lionel Hutz to invest their money on some projects.
Doug has an interview with Troy McClure and, after viewing his mansion, he tells him he wants to produce the best sci-fiction movie ever. When the movie premiers at the Aztec Theater, the audience hate it because it is too scientifically accurate (there is no sound when they are in space and the spaceship moves slowly). The movie flops.
At the power plant, Mr. Burns tells Benjamin he wants to invest his money on a computer. However, whenever Mr. Burns touches a computer, it short-circuits due to his previous exposure to nuclear radiation. Burns decides he doesn't need Benjamin's help anymore.
Professor Frink tells Gary he wants the money to make an edible car. When the car is made, it has a windshield that makes people look 500 times more good-looking. However, Frink's calculations don't make sense to Gary, and that's because his science is based on faith and not physical laws. When this is brought up, the laboratory is destroyed.
Meanwhile, at Moe's Tavern, a man who has Moe tied up under the floor tries to convince Homer to sell him the nerds' company. Homer refuses, but when he goes to the bathroom, Barney ends up selling the company instead.
The nerds' company is over, but they were able to move back into their university room and bought a triple-creamed Krusty Kreamy-O cookie for Homer with what was left of the money.
